The spartakiad of employees of the ISEI BSU-2020, dedicated to the Birthday of the Institute on January 21-22, was held.
The sports festival was opened by the director of the institute, Professor Sergey Maskevich.
Creative team “Suzorye” of Minsk Secondary School №121 under the leadership of L. N. Evchenko presented the participants with dance compositions. Anastasia Zhuravkova, a student of the Republican Center for Olympic Training in rhythmic Gymnastics, as well as students of our institute with modern composition, performed a sports number.
On the first day of January 21, volleyball matches were held among the national teams of the faculty, management staff and students. The strongest of the team of students took the second place, the team of the management staff took the second place, and the team of the teaching staff took the third place.
On the second day, competitions were held in the individual championship in darts, table tennis, and basketball hoop throws. In the draughts and chess competitions in a simultaneous game session, young athletes of the specialized children and youth school of the Olympic reserve in draughts and chess, Varvara Matskevich, winner of the 2019 World Chess Championship. Alexey Pavlyuchenko, multiple prize-winner of the World Draughts Championship 2018-2019, showed a master class.
The second day of the sports contest was very tense. Today, sets of rewards were played for 5 game types: table tennis, darts, checkers, chess and basketball hoop throws. Everyone from among the staff of the institute was able to try their hand and get a judge’s assessment.
With the active support of the fans and in a hard fight at the end of the two days of the sports contest, the team places were distributed as follows:
The first place was taken by the team of the administrative and managerial staff of the ISEI BSU, the second place was taken by the team of the Faculty of Environmental Monitoring, the third place was taken by the team of the Faculty of Environmental Medicine.
